Coulson Ice Blast Named Top 50 Most Innovative Companies to Watch in 2018

Government of Canada congratulates Coulson Ice Blast

Silicon Valley, California, [July 13, 2018]Silicon Review, the worlds most trusted online and print magazine for business technology professionals, has named Coulson Ice Blast one of the 50 most innovative companies to watch of 2018.

Coulson Ice Blast, a two year old start-up, has pioneered cost effective, industrial cleaning systems capable of blasting with either ice or dry ice. While there are other dry ice blasting equipment manufacturers, no other company produces machines that blast with water ice.

Hearing about the award, the Government of Canada’s Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development reached out to express his congratulations:  "I'd like to extend congratulations to Coulson Ice Blast on their recognition as one of the 50 most innovative companies of 2018. Coulson's IceStorm technology is revolutionizing the industrial cleaning industry by harnessing the power of ice and dry ice for more effective cleaning. Coulson's technology demonstrates how innovative Canadian companies are finding solutions to challenges of all sizes while making Canada a global centre of innovation."

Coulson Ice Blast has taken the fast moving, flexible mentality of a tech startup and applied it to the industrial cleaning industry.  They are constantly looking for ways to improve their technology, experimenting with processes and blast medias, replacing old methods with new. The company hit the world stage last year, when R&D Mag named its first system, “One of the top 100 most technologically significant new products.”

“Our mission is to create great technology that changes the way we clean the world,” said Foster Coulson, Co-Founder of Coulson Ice Blast.  “And with the launch of our new IceStorm ice blasting system, this brings us one step closer to our vision.”

“There’s no doubt in our mind that ice is a superior cleaning media”, continued Coulson, “It’s inexpensive, reduces airborne contaminants, makes containment easy… the list goes on.  But there’s one area where dry ice can’t be beat, and that’s in applications like cleaning electrical equipment, where you really need to keep the surface totally dry. So we figured, why not provide the customer with the most flexible and effective tool possible?  You should see some of the things our customers face, it’s a totally different issue every day, with a unique challenge.  Why not give them one machine that blasts any ice, anywhere, anytime, capable of handling any situation?”

Coulson Ice Blast is proud that Silicon Review, the Government of Canada, and their users around the world recognize and appreciate their drive to push the boundaries and find new solutions to the omnipresent but underappreciated problem of industrial cleaning.
